The in-tandem processes from anilines were compared to conventional Heck-Matsuda reactions using pre-synthesized aryldiazonium salts. With few exceptions, the reactions starting directly from the anilines afforded better overall yields and enantioselectivity, demonstrating the efficiency of the method.
