  在环境条件下，通过在存在Amberlyst-15®的情况下对取代的樟脑醇进行环化，已实现了六氢环戊五（b）呋喃衍生物的便捷绿色合成。在这些反应条件下，形成了少量（<10％）的2-氧杂双环[3.2.1]辛烷。可以通过改变反应条件来提高后一种化合物的收率。两种杂环均显示出优异的香料价值。催化剂可以通过简单的过滤回收并重复使用。
