  Two potential bioisosteres of the nonsteroidal antiandrogen bicalutamide, an imidazolidinone and an indole, were synthesized and tested for their androgen receptor binding. Indole was discovered to be a suitable bioisostere for the acyl anilide moiety in the parent compound.
