  The title compound consists of well-separated units of [Re(OH)(NCS)(3)(Ph(3)P)(2)] complexes and MeOH solvent molecules. The Re atom is six-coordinate in a distorted octahedral coordination sphere. The two triphenylphosphine ligands are arranged trans to each other. The Re-OH distance is 2.171(4) Angstrom and lies in the range for a single Re-O bond. The NCS ligands are coordinated via nitrogen.
