  (EN) The present invention provides certain 3-aryl-5,6-dihydro-1,4,2-oxathiazines and their oxides, useful for the long-term preservation of wood and composite wood materials against wood damaging and wood destroying materials. A method of preserving wood is also disclosed in which a fungicidally or bactericidally effective amount of the present 3-aryl-5,6-dihydro-1,4,2-oxathiazines and their oxides, are applied to the wood substrate to be protected.(FR) La présente invention concerne certains 3-aryl-5,6-dihydro-1,4,2-oxathiazines et leurs oxydes, qui permettent de protéger à long terme le bois et les matériaux en bois composites contre la détérioration du bois et contre les matières de destruction du bois.
