  A lithographic printing plate precursor is disclosed including i) a support having a hydrophilic surface or which is provided with a hydrophilic layer, and (ii) a coating including a photopolymerisable layer, characterised in that the photopolymerisable layer comprises a compound comprising at least one free radically polymerisable group and at least one moiety having a structure according to Formula (I): wherein X represents 0 or NR* and R* represents hydrogen, an optionally substituted alkyl, aryl, aralkyl or heteroaryl group; and * denotes the linking positions to the rest of the compound. The application further discloses a monomer represented by Formula (IX): wherein A1 and A2 independently represent acrylamide, methacrylarride or a terminal group, L1 and L2 are independently a divalent, trivalent, fourvalent, fivevalent or sixvalent linking group; L* represents a divalent linking group; a represents 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 respectively for a divalent, trivalent, fourvalent, fivevalent or sixvalent linking group L1, b represent 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 respectively for a divalent, trivalent, fourvalent, fivevalent or sixvalent linking group L2; and c is an integer ranging from 0 to 150; X represents O or NR* and R* represents hydrogen, an optionally substituted alkyl, aryl, aralkyl or heteroaryl group; with the proviso that at least one of the A1 or A2 group represents acrylamide or methacrylamide.
