    Provided is a curable ink composition, in particular a curable inkjet ink composition. The ink composition has a dye monomer, a carrier monomer and an initiator. The dye monomer has a chromophore moiety that is covalently bonded to at least one polymerizable functional group and is present at 1.0 wt % or more based on total weight of the ink composition. The carrier monomer has at least one polymerizable functional group and is present in at 50 wt % or more based on total weight of the ink composition. The ink compositions are suitable for radiation curing such as UV curing and have good cure properties or light fastness properties.

    This process is a process for production of a vinyl chloride polymer by suspension polymerization or emulsion polymerization of vinyl chloride monomer or a mixture of vinyl chloride monomer with a vinyl monomer copolymerizable with said vinyl chloride monomer in an aqueous medium, characterized in that the polymerization is carried out in a polymerizer, the inner wall surface and portions of the auxiliary equipment thereof which may come into contact with the monomer during polymerization being previously coated with a scaling preventive comprising at least one selected from dyes, pigments and aromatic or heterocyclic compounds having at least 5 conjugated π bonds, while controlling the chloride ion concentration in the reaction mixture to not higher than 100 ppm. According to said process, scaling onto the inner wall surface of a polymerizer, etc. during polymerization can be prevented effectively and surely.

    In one embodiment, a limited play optical storage medium for data comprises: a reflective layer, a control portion comprising an optically transparent polymeric resin and a light absorbing material, wherein the control portion has a light transmission of greater than or equal to about 70% at 650 nm, a curing index of greater than or equal to about 0.1 and a filtration index of greater than or equal to about 2.5, and wherein the light absorbing material has a minimum extinction coefficient (measured in CH 2 Cl 2 solution) at 600 nm of greater than or equal to 1,500 mol −1 ·cm −1 ·L, a maximum extinction coefficient (measured in CH 2 Cl 2 solution) at 650 nm of less than about 1,000 mol 1 ·cm −1 ·L, a ratio of extinction coefficient at 650 nm to 600 nm less than about 0.1, and a reactive layer disposed between the reflective layer and the control portion, wherein the reactive layer is designed to limit the time during which data on the medium (disposed on a side of the reactive layer opposite the control portion), can be accessed after exposure to oxygen.
