  field of lipids prompted us to prepare deuterated leukotrienes as stable standard compounds. Thus, chiral [11,12,14,15]-tetradeuterated LTA4 methyl ester 4b was synthesized by reduction of the appropriate diyne precursor and will lead to the corresponding tetradeuterated peptidoleukotrienes.
