  A series of esters of 2,3-(bicyclo[2.2.1]hept-5-ene)dimethanol and C-4-C-9 aliphatic monocarboxylic acids were synthesized. The physicochemical, viscosity-temperature, thermo-oxidative, and lubricating properties of these compounds were determined, and a correlation between the chemical structure and the performance characteristics of the compounds was established.
