  Unsymmetrical trimethylene diol was obtained at the transacetalation of dimethoxymethane with tripentaerytritol. On the basis of the diol a group of acyclic and cyclic phosphites interesting as ligands for the metallocomplex bioregulators with sophisticated structure were synthesized.
