Triple alkylation: Phenylsulfinyl‐ and phenylthioacetonitrile can function as trianion equivalents of acetonitrile by sequential alkylation and sulfinyl–metal exchange (see scheme; mCPBA=meta‐chloroperoxybenzoic acid).
