A noval method for the synthesis of optically active β-hydroxy sulfones was developed. Through a substitution/dynamic kinetic resolution–asymmetric transfer hydrogenation, the presented method was based on one-pot enantioselective organic transformations of α–bromoindenones and sodium arylsulfinate.
