    The present invention relates to a composition for pain, containing a fraction obtained by solvent fractionation of a Zanthoxylum piperitum leaf extract. More specifically, a solvent fraction isolated from Zanthoxylum piperitum leaves suppresses all of pain, inflammation and arthritis in a pain-induced animal model, an inflammation-induced model and an arthritis-induced model and, with respect to molecular markers related thereto, exhibits very excellent expression and suppression patterns, thereby being usable in a pharmaceutical composition that is very effective in the treatment of pain- and inflammation-based arthritis.

For example the RSK inhibitors of the present invention can be used to reduce the proliferation of neoplastic cells or for inhibiting the establishment or maintenance of an intracellular pathogenic infection by pathogens whose pathogenicity derives in part from the pathogen's ability to impede endosomal/phagosomal maturation in the host cell.
