A series of new model complexes of 2,4-dihydroxybenzaldoxime (H3L) with divalentcopper and nickel ions having a general formula [M(H2L)2]·sol (sol = solvent or nitrogen containing heterocycle) and a new zinccomplex [Zn(H2L)2(pep)2] (where pep = 4-(2-(pyridine-4-yl)propyl)pyridine) were synthesized for the detection of fluoride ions.
