Design of chimericenzymes: Despite 82 % identity, two recently discovered lipases/acyltransferases, CalLAc8 and CduLAc displayed different catalyticbehavior. Chimericenzymes were constructed to elucidate the roles of two subdomains (cap and C‐terminal flap) in substrate specificity and in acyltransfer ability.

Disclosed is a self-invertible inverse latex including, as an inverting agent, surfactant species of the polyglycerol ester family; the use thereof as a thickening and/or emulsifying and/or stabilising agent for a cosmetic, dermopharmaceutical or pharmaceutical topical composition, and cosmetic, dermopharmaceutical or pharmaceutical topical compositions containing same. Also disclosed is a new surfactant composition containing polyglycerol esters.
The C1C18 alkyl oleates were prepared in n-hexane by esterification of oleic acid with either the primary and secondary C-1-C-6 alcohols or the primary fatty C-8-C-18 alcohols. The esterification was acid-catalyzed in the presence of p-toluene suffonic acid (p-TSA) in a pseudo-homogeneous phase, or in the presence of the sulfonic macroporous resin (K2411) in the heterogeneous phase. The purified alkyl oleates were characterized by C-13-NMR. The oleic acid/alkyl oleate mixtures were analyzed by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).
