1-(2-Methoxybenzylidene)-4-phenylthiosemicarbazide as OFF–ON fluorescent chemodosimeter for detection of Cu2+ in acetonitrile–water binary solvents
摘要:
A novel fluorescent chemodosimeter, 1-(2-methoxybenzylidene)-4-phenylthiolsemicarbazide, was studied. In 90: 10 (v/v) mixture of CH3CN and water binary solution, it exhibits high selectivity toward Cu2+ but very low response toward other competitive cations. The Cu2+ promoting cyclization of the thiosemicarbazide to 1,2,4-triazole-3(4H)-thione ring results in observation of the turn-on fluorescence. (C) 2008 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
A series of organometallic rhodium complexes with curcuminoid ligands (1−9) have been synthesized and characterized by NMR, IR, elemental analysis, and HR-ESI-mass spectrometry. The molecular structure of complex 9 has been characterized by X-ray crystallography. The in vitro activities of all the compounds have been evaluated against the HeLa, HepG2, CNE-2, SGC-7901, KB human cancer cell lines and
The origin of the longer wavelength emission in 2-(4-fluorophenylamino)-5-(2,4-dihydroxybenzeno)-1,3,4-thiadiazole and its analogue 2-phenylamino-5-(2-hydroxybenzono)-1,3,4-thiadiazole† ‡
longer wavelength emission was assigned to the combination of aggregation and conformational change. In a number of molecules that possess an intramolecular hydrogen bond between the proton donor and the acceptor, the longer wavelength emission is often observed due to the emission from the tautomer formed by excitedstateintramolecularprotontransfer (ESIPT). Therefore, an analogue of FABT, 2-ph

A series of half‐sandwich iridium complexes (1–4) with thiosemicarbazone ligands in two types of coordination modes were synthesized and characterized. The molecular structures of compounds 1, 2 and 3 were determined using single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction analysis. The nature of the complexes was studied using density functional theory calculations. The stability of the complexes was investigated using

A novel and efficient procedure for the synthesis of thiosemicarbazones has been achieved via a multi-component and catalyst-free reaction of phenyl or p-chlorophenyl isothiocyanate, hydrazine, and aldehydes or ketones. The method afforded 20 thiosemicarbazones in good yields and short reaction time. (c) 2009 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
