Pioglitazone/metforminadduct is a novel compound synthesized from pioglitazone and metformin combined at a molar mass ratio of 1:1. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of pioglitazone/metforminadduct on high glucose-induced insulinsecretion and apoptosis in INS-1 cells.
