Synthesis of benzophenones from geminal biaryl ethenes using m-chloroperbenzoic acid
摘要:
The oxidation of geminal biaryl ethenes 3 and 1,3-enynes 5 using m-chloroperbenzoic acid in dichloromethane at room temperature presents a catalyst-free approach for the synthesis of functionalized benzophenones 4 and ynones 6, respectively. (C) 2009 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
Rhodium-catalyzed highly regio- and stereoselective hydroselenation of internal alkynes bearing an electron-withdrawinggroup took place to give (E)-vinyl selenides in good yields. The excellent syn stereoselectivity of this rhodium-catalyzed hydroselenation is of great importance in terms of complementing the previously reported hydroselenation of alkynes.
A transition-metal-free synthetic method of various ynones via decarboxylative alkynylation of α-keto acids is described. The reaction is carried out undermildconditions and exhibits remarkable tolerance of functional groups. The mechanism of a radical process is proposed in the reaction.

combination of hypervalentiodine(III) reagents (HIR) and photoredoxcatalysis with visible light has enabled chemoselective decarboxylativeynonylation to construct ynones, ynamides, and ynoates. This ynonylation occurs effectively undermild reaction conditions at room temperature and on substrates with various sensitive and reactive functional groups. The reaction represents the first HIR/photoredox dual

A TiCl4/Et3N combination proved to be effective for the selective oxidation of propargylic alcohols into α,β-acetylenic aldehydes in good yields. Treatment of 2-hexyne-1,6-diol with TiCl4/Et3N provided 6-hydroxy-2-hexynal in good yield.

Pd-catalyzed copper-free carbonylative Sonogashira coupling reaction to synthesize alkynyl ketones from terminal alkynes and aryl iodides was achieved by using water as a solvent. The reaction was carried out at room temperature under balloon pressure of CO with Et3N as a base. The developed method was successfully applied to the synthesis of flavones.
