    The polyamines which were obtained by the hydrogenation of N-substituted 2-methyl-2-nitropropylamines, were derived to the corresponding guanidine derivatives with S-methylisothiourea sulfate. Some polyamines were not derived to the guanidine compound, but to the sulfates of starting materials. The material 2-methyl-2-nitropropylamines were prepared by the condensation of 2-nitropropane, formaldehyde and amines.

    A process for preparing modified diene polymer rubbers having an increased impact resilience and a reduced hardness at low temperatures and useful as rubber materials for automobile tires and other industries which comprises producing an alkali metal-containing conjugated diene polymer, and reacting the alkali metal-containing polymer with a modifier selected from the group consisting of a nitroalkyl acrylate of the formula: wherein R¹ and R² are independently an alkyl group and n is an integer, and a nitroamino compound of the formula: wherein R³ to R⁶ are independently an alkyl group, and m is an integer, said alkali metal-containing diene polymer being prepared by a living anionic polymerization using an alkali metal-based catalyst or by an addition reaction of a diene polymer having conjugated diene units and an alkali metal-based catalyst in a hydrocarbon solvent. The modified diene polymers can be incorporated with usual rubber additives to provide rubber compositions for various purposes, and the cured products show an increased impact resilience and a reduced hardness at low temperatures.

    A rubber vibration isolator lowered in the dynamic-to-static modulus ratio and improved in the durability is obtained by blending a natural rubber and/or a synthetic rubber with a filler and a dinitrodiamine compound represented by the formula of wherein X is a divalent aliphatic, alicyclic or aromatic group which may contain halogen or oxygen in the group, R1 is hydrogen, an aliphatic group, an alicyclic group or an aromatic group, with the proviso that two nitrogen atoms linking through X may further link through R1 when both X and R1 are the aliphatic groups, and R2 and R3 independently of one another are each hydrogen or an alkyl of 1 to 12 carbon atoms, with the proviso that R2 and R3 may conjointly form a ring.

A resin composition comprising 100 parts by weight of a composition comprising 5 to 95% by weight of a polyphenylene ether resin component (A) and 95 to 5% by weight of a polyamide component (B) and a component (D) comprising one or more compounds of formula (I) wherein X is a divalent straight or branched chain aliphatic, cycloaliphatic or aromatic group which may optionally be substituted by one or more alkyl, halogen or oxygen-containing substituents and wherein the carbon chain of the aliphatic and cycloaliphatic groups may be interrupted by one or more oxygen atoms, the groups R¹ are identical and each is hydrogen, or a straight or branched chain aliphatic, cycloaliphatic or aromatic group optionally substituted by one or more alkyl halogen or oxygen-containing substituents and wherein the carbon chain of the aliphatic and cycloaliphatic groups may be interrupted by one or more oxygen atoms, or wherein the two groups R¹ form a divalent straight or branched chain aliphatic group, in which the carbon chain may be interrupted by one or more oxygen atoms, such that the two groups R¹ together with the nitrogen atoms to which they are bonded and the group X from a ring, and the two groups Z are identical and each is a group of formula wherein R² and R³ are the the same or different and each is hydrogen or an alkyl of 1 to 12 carbon atoms, or R² and R form a divalent straight or branched chain aliphatic group such that R², R3 and the carbon atom to which they are bonded from a ring, wherein the total amount of all compounds of formula (I) is at least 0.01 parts by weight and the maximum amount of any one compound of formula (I) is 10 parts by weight.
