The reactions of [Pd2Ar2(μ-Cl)2(PR3)2] with sodium xanthates (NaS2COR′) in 1:2 stoichiometry afforded [PdAr(S2COR′)(PR3)] (Ar = Ph or 4-MeC6H4 (tol), PR3 = PEt3, PMe2Ph, PPrn3, R′ = Et, Pri), which were characterized by elemental analyses and NMR spectroscopy.
