The palladium-catalyzed carbon-carbon bond formation of organolead(IV) triacetates with terminal alkynes was accomplished with Pd2(dba)3·CHCl3 (5 mol%) and CuI (10 mol%) in the presence of NaOMe (2 equiv.) in MeOH/CH3CN (1:1) at room temperature.
