Applaudable promiscuity: Racemase‐type activity discovered for B. cepacia lipase with N‐substituted α‐aminonitriles is proposed to involve a CC bond‐breaking/forming mechanism in the hydrolase site of the enzyme, as supported by experimental data and calculations.
