Synthesis of 4-Methoxybenzylamino Derivatives of Dibenzothiadiazepine- dioxide

This article reports the synthesis of new dibenzothiadiazepinedioxides bearing a 4-methoxybenzyl amino group at 8- or 9-C position of the tricyclic heterocycle. Construction of the 8- or 9-aminodibenzothiadiazepinedioxide is achieved via Weber's method and the 4-methoxybenzyl analogues are realized by reductive animation using 4-anisaldehyde.
