  The present invention relates to pyrido [3,4-f] pyrrolo[1,2-b] [1,2,5] triazepines of formula wherein R¹ is alkyl, arylalkyl, or aminoalkyl; R² is hydrogen, alkyl, arylalkyl, aminoalkyl, aryl or a group of the formula wherin d is an integer having a value of zero or 1 and R⁵ is hydrogen, alkyl, arylalkyl or aminoalkyl; R³ is hydrogen or alkyl, or together with R² constitutes a radical of the formula = 0; R⁴ is hydrogen, alkyl, arylalkyl, aminoalkyl, formyl, lowercarbonyl, aminocarbonyl, arylaminocarbonyl, or a group of the formula wherein W is carbon or nitrogen, Ar is aryl, q is zero to 2, p is zero or 1; X is halogen, alkyl, alkenyl, formyl or alkanol; m is zero or 1; the dotted line is an optional bond; and a, b, and c, are zero or one.
