Abstract A Co(II) complex with 1-1-[2-(o-tolyloxy)ethyl]-1H-benzimidazol-2-yl}ethan-1-ol is prepared. It is established by elemental analysis and IR spectroscopy that the composition of the complex is [Co(L)3]2+·2(NO3)–·2H2O·2CH3OH. Its crystalstructure is determined by single-crystal XRD.
