  The first synthesis and X-ray structural determination of the bis(tetraethylammonium) Zn dithiolene complex involving N-methyl-1,3-thiazoline-2-thione-4,5-dithiolate, [NEt4](2)[Zn(Me-thiazdt)(2)], are reported. The reactivity of this dithiolene complex as a nucleophilic dithiolate synthon and as a precursor of the air sensitive electron rich olefine, the his ethylenedithiodithiadiazafulvalene (BEDT-DTDAF), is also described.
