  通过使用Stille偶联和[2,3] -Wittig重排反应作为关键步骤，合成了稻瘟病真菌霉菌Magnaporthe grisea分离出的一种植物毒素–吡啶酚的对映异构体和外消旋体。两种对映异构体几乎均等地诱导了水稻叶片上的黑暗坏死损伤，但并未影响水稻第二叶片鞘的生长和生菜的发芽。只有天然对映异构体才能促进大米和生菜的根部生长。
