Direct oxidative amidation of aldehydes with amines catalyzed by heteropolyanion-based ionic liquids under solvent-free conditions via a dual-catalysis process
A simple and efficient procedure for the synthesis of amides directly from aldehydes and amines catalyzed by heteropolyanion-based ionic liquids undersolvent-freeconditions has been reported. The practical protocol was found to tolerate a wide range of substrates with different functional groups. Moderate to excellent yields, solvent-free media, and operational simplicity are the main highlights
An efficient, eco-friendly and sustainable tandem oxidative amidation of alcohols with amines catalyzed by heteropolyanion-based ionic liquids via a bifunctional catalysis process
eco-friendly and sustainable method for the tandem oxidative amidation of alcohols with amines has been reported. Using heteropolyanion-based ionic liquids as the catalyst and tert-butyl hydroperoxide as the oxidant, this amidation reaction is operationally straightforward and provides a series of primary, secondary and tertiary amidesderivatives in moderate to good yields. Solvent-free media, microwave-promoted

An unusual dominoreaction where the same furanα-carbon atom reacts initially as a nucleophile and then as an electrophile is reported. In the presence of acid, N-tosylfurfurylamines react with 2-(tosylamino)benzylalcohols to afford 2-(2-acylvinyl)indoles. The reaction proceeds by Friedel–Crafts alkylation at the C(2) atom of furan followed by acid-catalyzed intramolecular nucleophilic attack of
N-Acylation of furfurylamines provided 1, which on double deprotonation with LDA led to the formation of N-acyl-5-aminopenta-2,4-dienals 2 via an isomerization involving opening of the furan ring. The scope and limitations of the procedure were examined by considering the influence of substituents on the carbonyl group and also on the heterocycle moiety. The efficacy of the reaction was shown to be very dependent on the nature of these groups.

efficient organophosphorus-catalysed amidation reaction between unactivated carboxylic acids and amines. Poly(methylhydrosiloxane), a waste product of the silicon industry, is used as an inexpensive and green reducingagent for in situ reduction of phosphine oxide to phosphine. The reported method enables the synthesis of a wide range of secondary and tertiaryamides in very good to excellent yields.
