Transition metal ion complexes of the general formula ML3(M = Cr(III), Fe(III), ML2 (M = Mn(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) and ML2(H2O)2 (M = Co(II), Ni(II)) with the conjugate base of 3,5-diphenyl 1-hydroxypyrazole 2-oxide = L have been prepared from aqueous solution. All are non-electrolytes and the ligand based on the IR results acts as a bidentate in all compounds. The Cr(III), Co(II) and Ni(II) compounds
