An efficient and simple protocol for N‐bromosuccinimide (NBS)‐mediated styrenesaziridination using amides as the nitrenoid source has been developed. This aziridination affords desired products in moderate to good yields without using transition metal catalyst under very mild reaction condition.

restricts their widespread application. Considering the ready availability and diversity of cyclicamines, we report a visible-light photocatalytic Barbier-type reaction of aziridines and azetidines with nonactivated aldehydes. A series of important γ- and δ-amino alcohols were synthesized in the presence of amines as electron donors. Moreover, this transition-metal-free protocol displays mild reaction
A photocatalyticcarboxylation of C−N bonds in cyclic amines with CO2 is realized by consecutive photo-induced electron transfer (ConPET). This mild and transition-metal-free protocol provides a general and practical route to valuable β-, γ-, δ- and ϵ-amino acids.
