摘要:
The reactions of the novel tridentate ligand 1-(pyridine-2-yl)-3-methyl-3,6-diazaheptane (PDAHP) with copper(II) salts have been investigated. The ligand and the complexes Cu(PDAHP)Cl2, Cu(PDAHP)Br2, [Cu(PDAHP)(OH2)2](ClO4)2 and [Cu(PDAHP)(NO3)](NO3) have been characterized by elemental analyses, conductivity and magnetic susceptibility measurements, mass, IR, electronic absorption and H-1 NMR data. In addition, the X-ray crystal structure of Cu(PDAHP)Cl2 is described. The structure is a distorted trigonal bipyramid in which the copper atom is coordinated by a ligand molecule that spans the two axial and one equatorial sites and by the two chlorine atoms in the remaining equatorial positions.
