  Reaction between (TACN)CuCl2 and 2 equiv. of AgNO3 in aqueous solution yielded novel five coordinated Cu complex (TACN)Cu(eta(1)-ONO2)(2) (1), which, upon the prolonged treatment of saturated KPF6(aq), disproportionated into [Cu(TACN)(2)](PF6)(2) (2). Single crystal X-ray diffraction studies revealed that the coordination geometry of Cu center in 1 is best described as a square pyramid, and that in 2 is a compressed octahedron.
