compounds containing an alkyne moiety or a carbonyl group were efficiently synthesized from sulfonamide‐substituted vinylidenecyclopropanediesters, catalyzed by a hard Lewis acid Yb(OTf)3 and a soft Lewis acid AuI complex, respectively (see scheme).
