  (EN) The present invention relates to pseudoceramide derivatives represented by the formula (I) R1-COCHR2CONR3R4 or the formula (II) R1-CH(OH)CHR2CONR3R4 wherein each of R1 and R2 represents linear or branched alkyl group or alkenyl group having 6-22 carbon atoms; each of R3 and R4 represents hydrogen, methyl, ethyl, propyl, or linear or branched C2-C6 alkyl group having one or more hydroxyl group(s), or monosaccharide, a process for preparing the same, and dermatologic external preparations containing the same. When the pseudoceramide derivatives according to the present invention are applied in a dermatologic external preparation the moisture-retaining property and resilience of skin and hair becomes excellent so that the derivatives are useful in protection of skin-aging. Besides, the derivatives are useful for inducing the formation of lipid layer on damaged skin and for preventing the inhibition of lipid synthesis.(FR) L'invention des dérivés de pseudocéramides représentés par la formule (I) ou (II): R1-COCHR2CONR3R4 (I) R1-CH(OH)CHR2CONR3R4 (II) dans lesquelles chacun de R1 et R2 représente un groupe alkyle linéaire ou ramifié ou un groupe alkényle possédant 6-22 atomes de carbone; chacun de R3 et R4 représente hydrogène, méthyle, éthyle, propyle ou un groupe alkyle C2-C6 linéaire ou ramifié possédant un ou plusieurs groupes hydroxyle, ou un monosaccharide, un procédé servant à les préparer et des préparations les contenant utilisées en dermatologie externe. L'introduction de ces dérivés de pseudocéramides dans des préparations dermatologiques externes permet d'améliorer les propriétés de retenue d'hydratation et d'élasticité de la peau et de la chevelure, de sorte que ces dérivés sont utiles pour ralentir le vieillissement cutané. Ces dérivés servent également à provoquer la formation d'une couche lipidique sur la peau abîmée et à empêcher l'inhibition de la synthèse des lipides.
