The monomer for an ophthalmic lens preferably has a polydimethylsiloxane structure. Further provided by the present invention is an ophthalmic lens material formed from a composition containing the colorant and a monomer for an ophthalmic lens having an unsaturated double bond, and the lens material containing a polymer comprising the monomer for an ophthalmic lens as a monomer unit.
