Aqueous phosphoric acid (85 wt%) is an efficient and mild reagent for the deprotection of N-BOC groups. Acid sensitive functionalities including benzyl and methyl esters, TBDMS ether, CBZ and isopropylidene groups are compatible with the reaction conditions.
