  The electrooxidation of several substituted amide oximes to yield the corresponding nitriles, alcohols, and imidate was successfully carried out. The reaction products were dependent on the substituents. Additionally, 4,5-dihydro-1,2,4-oxadiazoles derived from amide oximes were electrooxidized to afford 1,2,4-oxadiazoles in good yields.

  4-Substituted O-benzyl benzamide oximes reacted with 2-iodobenzonitrile in the presence of 0.1 mol % of [Pd2(dba)3], 0.2 mol % of XantPhos, and 1.5 equiv of Cs2CO3 in dioxane under argon to give 2-arylquinazolin-4-amines. The described reaction is a new type of cascade processes, which affords 4-amino-quinazoline derivatives without using highly reactive chlorinating agents.

  The present invention relates to compounds of the formula (I), wherein R is independently SO 3 − or CH 3 ; the spacer is a flexible spacer of a length of 13-25 atoms the charge of the pentasaccharide residue is compensated by positively charged counterions; and the total number of sulfate groups in the pentasaccharide residue is 4, 5 or 6; or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt, a prodrug or a solvate thereof. The compounds of the invention have antithrombotic activity and can be used in treating or preventing thrombin-related diseases.
