  Provided herein is a method of forming paint films using a three-coat one-bake system comprising applying a white base coat comprising titanium oxide to a polyolefin substrate comprising a primer, applying a light colored mica base coat to the white base coat wet-on-wet and then applying a clear coat to the mica base coat wet-on-wet, and then heating and hardening the polyolefin substrate comprising the while base coat, the mica base coat, and the clear, wherein the primer, white base coat and mica base coat each comprise from 0.2 to 5.0 parts by weight of a biphenylphosphate compound which can be represented by formula (1) per 100 parts by weight of resin solid fraction. Also provided herein are articles manufactured according to this method of forming paint films.

  [EN] To provide white base coating material compositions which can form light-colored coated films on polyolefin substrates, whereby fresh colors are maintained, without yellowing with the passage of time, due to sunlight (or heat). [The Means of Solution] A white base coating material containing titanium dioxide, which is the white base coating material in a process wherein it is applied onto a film of a conductive primer which has been coated onto a polyolefin substrate and dried; a light­colored mica base coating material is applied onto the white base coating material by a wet on wet technique; and a clear coating material is applied onto this mica base coating material, after which a coated film is formed by thermal hardening by a three-coat one-bake procedure; the white base coating material compositions contain 0.2 to 5.0 parts by mass of a biphenyl phosphate compound represented by formula (1) per 100 parts by mass of a resin solid fraction; a process for the formation of coated films using these white base coating material compositions; and coated products therefrom.
  [FR] Afin d'obtenir des compositions de revêtement à base blanche susceptibles de former des films revêtus à couleurs pâles sur des substrats de polyoléfine et dont les couleurs ne jaunissent pas avec le temps en raison des rayons du soleil (ou de la chaleur). A cet effet, on prévoit une matière de revêtement à base blanche contenant un dioxyde de titane qui constitue la matière de revêtement à base blanche dans un procédé au cours duquel on l'applique sur un film d'une couche primaire conductrice recouvrant un substrat de polyoléfine avant d'être séché; une matière de revêtement à base de mica faiblement colorée est appliquée sur la matière de revêtement à base blanche par une technique de peinture par pulvérisation sur enduit frais; et une matière de revêtement primaire est appliquée sur la matière de revêtement à base mica, après quoi un film revêtu est formé par durcissement thermique au moyen d'un procédé d'application de trois couches sur enduit frais. Les compositions de matière de revêtement à base blanche contiennent entre 0,2 et 5,0 parties par masse d'un composant de phosphate biphényle représenté par la formule (I) pour 100 parties par masse d'une fraction solide de résine. Procédé de formation de films revêtus utilisant ces compositions de matière de revêtement à base blanche et produits revêtus ainsi obtenus.
