Modified Degphoses ((R__-, R__-)-MOD-, XYL-Degphos) have been prepared and catalytic asymmetric hydrogenetion of (Z__-)-2-acetamidocinnamic acid was carried out with their rhodium(l) cationic complexes. The catalytic activities of the modified Degphoses were enhanced.
