  The reaction of N-alpha-protected amino/peptide acid with N,O-dimethylhydroxylamine hydrochloride in the presence of T3P and DBU to obtain enantiomerically pure N-alpha-protected amino/peptidyl Weinreb amides in high yields has been described.
