Palladium‐Catalyzed Enantio‐ and Regioselective Ring‐Opening Hydrophosphinylation of Methylenecyclopropanes

A palladium-catalyzed asymmetric hydrophosphinylation of methylene cyclopropanes allowed for the synthesis of a wide range of chiral allylic phosphine oxides via highly selective C−C bond cleavage (up to 96 % yield and up to 94 % ee). DFT calculations were performed to support the experimental results and to investigate the mechanism of the reaction.
