Spiro-oxindoles, epi-Spirotryprostatin A and its analogues were prepared from a tactical combination of cascade catalytic bimetallic Pd (0)/Ag(I), intramolecular Heck and subsequent imine → azomethine ylide → 1,3-Dipolar cycloaddition reactions.
