  (EN) A process for the preparation of an enantiomerically enriched chiral carboxylic acid derivative having the partial formula: C-C-C-COOOX wherein X is a cation, comprises formation of a dehydro precursor salt having the partial formula: C=C-C-COOOX by reaction of the corresponding precursor acid with an at least substantially stoichiometric amount of base, and asymmetric hydrogenation of the salt in the presence of a transition metal complex of a chiral phosphine ligand.(FR) La présente invention concerne un procédé portant sur l'élaboration d'un dérivé chiral d'acide carboxylique énantiomériquement enrichi. Ce dérivé est représenté par la formule partielle C-C-C-COOOX dans laquelle X est un cation. Ce procédé consiste en la formation d'un sel précurseur déhydro représenté par la formule partielle C=C-C-COOOX. En l'occurrence, on fait réagir l'acide précurseur correspondant avec une quantité au moins sensiblement stoechiométrique d'une base. On réalise ensuite l'hydrogénation asymétrique du sel en présence d'un complexe de métal de transition d'un ligand chiral de phosphine.
