We have synthesized a thermally stable and high molecular weight fluorescent poly(phenylenevinylene) (PPV) incorporating side-chain-tethered dendritic phenyl groups (DENPPV) through Gilch route; this DENPPV has a low abundance of tolane-bisbenzyl defects.
