    C 5 H 3 N}) leads to the formation of mononuclear complexes of the general formula [RuCl 2 (η 3 -NN′N)(η 1 -SR 2 )] (SR 2 =SMe 2 , SEt 2 , C 4 H 8 S, SO 2 ). Related dialkyldisulfides and sterically hindered sulfides or thiophenes do not react with 1 or form complicated mixtures of compounds. The X-ray crystal structure of the dimethylsulfide complex [RuCl 2 (η 3 -NN′N) 2 (SMe 2 )], is reported.
