The ligands 4′-(o-toluyl)-2,2′ : 6′,2″-terpyridine and 4′-[2-(bromomethyl)phenyl]-2,2′ : 6′,2″-terpyridine were synthesized. X-ray crystallographic studies have been performed on complexes that were prepared using these ligands.
