The reaction of COS with [Ru(CH3CN)2Cl2(PPh3)2] under various experimental conditions resulted in the formation of chloro-bridged complexes [(Ph3P)Cl(CO)Ru(μ-Cl)2Ru(CO)Cl(PPh3)] and [(PPh3)2Cl(CO)Ru(μ-Cl)2Ru(CO)Cl(PPh3)2] which reacted with excess PPh3 under reflux to form [Ru(CO)Cl2(PPh3)3]. CS2 reacted with [Ru(CH3CN)2Cl2(PPh3)2] in the presence of PPh3 to give [(Ph3P)2Cl(CS)Ru(μ-Cl)2Ru(CS)Cl(PPh3)2]
