Abstract 1-Alkynylphosphonates 3 are prepared in a one-pot procedure from diethylphosphorochloridates 2 and alkynyllithiums 1, which are readily generated by the reaction of 1-alkynes with n-BuLi.

The oxidativecouplingreactions of terminalalkynes with H‐phosphonates were explored using SiO2−NHC−Cu(II) (5.0 mol%) as catalyst at room temperature under base‐free reactionconditions. The reactions of a variety of terminalalkynes with H‐phosphonates generated the corresponding alkynylphosphonate products in good to excellent yields. In addition, SiO2−NHC−Cu(II) could be recovered and recycled
