    For the synthesis of 2,7-diamino-9,9-bis(4-aminophenyl)fluorene (2) under bar, first 2,7-dinitro-9,9-bis(4-aminophenyl)fluorene (1) under bar was synthesized by the reaction of 2,7-dinitro-9-fluorenone with aniline and aniline hydrochloride. (2) under bar was obtained by the reduction of (1) under bar with hydrazine hydrate and 10% palladium on carbon.

    The present disclosure provides a curable composition. The curable composition includes a liquid epoxy resin component a curative component, and a curable resin filler component. At least a portion of curable resin filler is dispersed in the liquid epoxy resin and solid at about 25° C. According to various examples, the curable composition can produce a film having good tackiness and improved handling characteristics. Additionally, according to some examples, a cured product of the curable composition can have a Wet Glass Transition Temperature and a Dry Glass Transition Temperature that are substantially the same.

    Curable epoxy resin compositions suitable for liquid resin infusion processes. In one embodiment, the resin composition contains (a) at least two polyepoxides, one of which is triglycidyl ether of tris(hydroxyphenyl)methane, (b) an aromatic amine curing agent, and (c) core-shell rubber particles. In another embodiment, the resin composition (a) at least two polyepoxides, one of which is diglycidyl ether of bis(hydroxyphenyl)fluorene, (b) an aromatic amine curing agent, and (c) core-shell rubber particles.

    Provided is a curable composition containing a reactive mixture of components including an polyethersulfone having a chemical group reactive with an epoxide, a cycloaliphatic polyepoxide resin, a polyepoxide having a functionality greater than two, a liquid diepoxide resin, a first curative containing 9,9-bis(aminophenyl)fluorene or a derivative therefrom and having a curing onset temperature of from 150° C. to 200° C. The components can further comprise a second curative having a curing onset temperature of from 60° C. to 180° C. When thermally curing this composition, the second epoxy curative starts to cure before the first epoxy curative, thereby inhibiting vertical flow of the adhesive during the curing process.
