An efficient oxidation reaction of various electron-poor quinoxaline-core-containing compounds, such as quinoxalines, 1,4,5,8-tetraazaphenanthrenes, and 1,4,5,8,9,12-hexaazatriphenylene, using [bis(trifluoroacetoxy)iodo]benzene is reported.
